Established in 2014, Hurly Consulting aims to work with values-driven organisations to help align strategy, structure, systems and leadership in order to deliver desired outcomes and results to their stakeholders. Sue works in a highly consultative manner as she believes the expertise to resolve issues often lies untapped in organisations. She works with key stakeholders to develop innovative, creative solutions to complex organisational dilemmas.
As a coach and mentor, Sue enjoys working with individuals to uncover their true motivators and drivers, their strengths and areas for development. Using this information, she assists them to develop both life & career goals and develop strategies/ tactics to achieve these.
Experience
With over 25 years experience Sue is an accomplished, strategically focused tertiary qualified Change and HR Manager with strong Organisational Development, Organisational Design and Human Resource leadership experience.
Sue has a track record designing and implementing transformation pathways to resolve complex and systemic organisational problems. Her success and credibility have come from using strong strategic thinking, diagnostic and analytical skills combined with ability to empathetically coach individuals as they address work, career and life challenges. She also has advanced facilitation and training skills.
Sue has considerable experience working with senior management and other stakeholders (including Boards, CEOs and executive teams) across multiple industries in the corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors. She has also led numerous organisation reviews and organisation design projects including for government departments/entities, professional services, emergency services, educational institutions and financial services. She has also worked in New Zealand and the UK.
Prior to this role Sue has held senior line management and consulting roles in Human Resources, Remuneration and Organisation Design at PwC, Right Management, Mercer, RMIT University, Downer Group and NAB. Recently at RMIT, she developed a tailored organisation design methodology and toolkit and trained HR staff in its application..
Sue has led multifaceted organisation design and change projects on time and within budget whilst engaging key stakeholders to obtain their ownership of the outcomes. In summary, Sue helps build business performance through aligning HR strategy and systems, as well as organisational structure to the organisation’s strategy and connecting people to the organisational objectives.
